Free Online Workshop: PVGIS – A Tool for Designing and Calculating Photovoltaic Solar Installations.

The main objective of the workshop is to present the free online database PVGIS for accessing irradiance and solar radiation data, which allows users to obtain annual and monthly electricity generation from a Photovoltaic Solar Installation (PSI) located anywhere in the world, under specific installation conditions and characteristics. PVGIS is a tool that assists in the design and sizing of photovoltaic solar installations. Exercises and examples will be provided on how to access irradiation levels and monthly, daily, and annual electricity generation, system losses, etc., based on the characteristic data of photovoltaic installations.
