Under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) IoTalentum Fellowship, Ubaid ur Rehman, a third-year Ph.D. student and energy systems researcher affiliated with GECAD, recently completed a two-month secondment at BISITE. This research focused on developing innovative home energy management models (HEMS) that can optimize energy use within a community. By coordinating energy consumption and potential local generation sources, HEMS can reduce overall energy costs and grid strain for participating households.
