Review on fairness in LES

GECAD – Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation Development and Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH have just published a new study on fairness in Local Energy Systems in Applied Energy.

As we transition towards a more user-centric approach in energy production, the concept of fairness is becoming increasingly significant. The team conducted an exhaustive analysis of 80 scholarly papers to provide a better understanding of fairness within local energy systems and how it is currently interpreted. The research identifies gaps in existing literature and proposes future avenues of study that new researchers and PhD students can follow.

It is our hope that this field of research will contribute to more equitable/fair local energy systems and benefit all involved parties.
