Last week, GECAD – Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation Development actively participated in the II Annual Meeting of the RIBIERSE-CYTED Network, held in Mérida, Mexico. This network, part of the CYTED program, focuses on the large-scale integration of renewable energy sources into electric power systems, fostering collaboration between leading research institutions across Ibero-America. The event, hosted by the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY) and the Universidad de Jaén (UJA). The VII Ibero-American International Congress on Smart Cities (ICSC-CITIES 2024) was held alongside the meeting and provided a platform for discussions on advancing smart cities and integrating renewable energy technologies where GECAD presented two articles. The hybrid format (in-person and virtual sessions) enabled broader participation.
The RIBIERSE Cyted network (https://lnkd.in/dt7MH6cp) incorporates 22 countries from America Latina, Portugal and Spain. It is currently the CYTED network that produces more research activities and publications.
