GECAD is pleased to share the news about the participation of Dr. João Soares and Professor Sergio Ramos in the kick-off meeting held in Waterford at the SETU/Walton Institute on 16-17 January 2024. The meeting was organized as part of the SAtComm project, which aims to give Energy Communities the tools they need to be in control of their energy and actively contribute to making our energy systems cleaner.
The SAtComm project is focused on empowering Energy Communities and promoting the shift towards cleaner energy systems. It is in line with the new rules from the European Union that emphasize the role of individual energy users in the transition to cleaner energy sources.
The kick-off meeting took place at the Walton Institute, located in Waterford. The Walton Institute is known for its expertise in research and innovation in various fields, including energy and communication technologies. The meeting was led by Dr. Sean Lyons, who is a prominent researcher in the field of energy and has been actively involved in promoting innovative initiatives in the Atlantic region.
