Yesterday, on 21/01/25, GECAD had the kickoff of the EnergyP2P (Energy Community peer-to-peer Energy Trading) project, a P2030 national initiative in collaboration with Indie Energy. The project’s goal is to address the needs of citizen energy communities while considering community-based virtual power plants (cVPPs).

The project will feature real pilot sites where (i) new energy storage management optimizations will be deployed and (ii) novel energy sharing mechanisms will be tested and validated.
