Application Deadline: 31-10-2021
Dear Colleagues,
The massive and seamless integration of distributed energy resources is a differentiating aspect of smart grids, enabling the distribution of generation across the grid. However, the achievement of a seamless integration of such resources is a complex task that needs to be addressed. Solutions that can harmoniously manage energy loads as well as energy resources to maintain energy balance will be the needed enablers to promote the grid stability. The use of artificial intelligence can support such management solutions while dealing with distributed management, end-user representation, uncertainty, complexity, optimization, users’ preferences, and contextual data.
This Special Issue aims to group all the alternative paradigms that are being developed to address the seamless integration of distributed energy resources, in particular but not exclusively the ones supported by artificial intelligence techniques.
This Special Issue encourages the submission of applied solutions, with open data publication(s), supported by experimental proof of concepts, laboratorial testing, and pilot demonstrations.
