GECAD participated in the last IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI 2022) held in Padova, Italy, during July 18-23. Bruno Canizes was the chair of the CEC-SS-20 Evolutionary Algorithms for Complex Optimization in the Energy Domain and presenter of the papers “A Sensitivity Analysis of PSO Parameters Solving the P2P Electricity Market Problem”, and “Metaheuristic optimization solving demand response contract markets with network validation”.
Bruno Canizes chaired the competition session held in WCCI and announced the winner of the competition on Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Risk-based Energy Scheduling at the competition session. This was the 6th edition of a series of smart grid competitions that GECAD has organized in top-tier international conferences such as Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO) and IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (IEEE CEC) since 2017 (https://www2.gecad.isep.ipp.pt/smartgridcompetitions/). Besides, Bruno Canizes attended the Intelligent System Application Technical Committee (ISATC) meeting on behalf of the Task Force 3 “Computational Intelligence in the Energy Domain“.
