FERROVIA 4.0 is the name of this project, which brings together 22 business entities and the R&D system, which are part of the Portuguese Railway Platform Cluster. The challenge assumed by all is based on experimental development and demonstration of new advanced technological solutions, namely in the field of management, monitoring and maintenance. The reduction of operational and maintenance costs through the development of infrastructure monitoring systems, as well as the creation of information systems to support decision making, are among the priorities.
