Description
The efficient and widespread use of active load management (DR) programs is a key objective to enable the intensive integration of renewable energy generation into the electricity systems. The COLORS project will design and develop innovative business models and strategies for DR remuneration, based on the new concept of contextual DR. The real value of DR varies over time and depends on the context, which is determined by several factors (wind and PV production, time of day, temperature, market price, and economic, political and social activities such as large trade fairs or sports events). COLORS proposes methods for calculating the contextual value of DR and uses them to determine the remuneration to be paid to consumers.
