Platform for Real-Time Energy Management in Smart Grids
Platform for Real-Time Energy Management in Smart Grids is composed of both in house developed software that enables real-time simulation and a professional platform for real-time simulation (OPAL OP5600, OP5705XG, OP4510) with power hardware in-the-loop abilities (provided by amplifiers rated 4 kVA+30 kVA). The laboratorial equipment includes: 3 kW+6 kW synchronous generators, 4 kVA and 30 kW+18*4 kW+2*8 kW variable loads, 1.5 kW+1.5 kW+3 kW induction motor controllable loads, 12 kWh+10 kWh lithium batteries. A multi-agent system accommodates agent-based models of all system’s players and entities in electricity markets, Energy communities and many other perspectives of the planning and operation of power and Energy systems. The platform can be used to intensively test and validate GECAD and third-party’s proposed models.
