The Seminar: “Self-consumption and Energy Communities: Concepts and Regulation” was held on the 10th of May at ISEP/GECAD, Porto, Portugal, presented by Prof. Sérgio Ramos from ISEP/GECAD, in the scope of the SATCOMM Project: Sustainable Atlantic Communities (Ref: EAPA_019/2022), a project co-financed by the INTERREG ATLANTIC AREA 2021-2027 Program through the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of Portugal’s main concepts and regulations associated with self-consumption and renewable energy communities. It also offered a unique opportunity to discuss the opportunities and challenges related to the self-consumption of electricity and how communities can benefit from shared renewable energy generation.
