PRECISE showcased its latest advancements at the 20th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence (DCAI 2023) special track, held during the 21st International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents, Multi-Agent Systems, and Cognitive Mimetics (PAAMS 2023) in Guimarães, Portugal, from July 12-14. The team’s innovative paper, “Dynamic Parameterization of Metaheuristics Using a Multi-agent System for the Optimization of Electricity Market Participation,” was honored with the MDPI Electronics Journal Best Paper Award.

Furthermore, GECAD’s research on “The Study of Forecasting Methods’ Impact in Wholesale Electricity Market Participation” provided critical insights into the challenges and opportunities presented by renewable energy integration into electricity markets. This study emphasizes the importance of precise forecasting and the economic implications of forecasting errors.
