GECAD participated in the IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting (IEEE PES GM 2022) held in Denver, Colorado, USA, from 17-21 July, where the PRECISE project emerged as a significant highlight. In a pivotal session led by Professor Zita Vale, the project’s innovative approach to “Trustful Artificial Intelligence based solutions for Power and Energy: Evaluation Metrics and Explainability” was spotlighted, drawing attention to its efforts to bolster the reliability and clarity of AI in the energy sector.

This discussion, part of the Intelligent Data Mining Analysis working group’s activities, underscored PRECISE’s role in advancing AI application standards in energy forecasting. Professor Vale’s emphasis on the project’s commitment to transparent and understandable AI solutions highlighted the critical importance of establishing trust in AI technologies within the energy landscape.
